Sergei Hohlov-Simson was UEFA delegate for the second-tier Europa League third-round qualifier clash between Kuopio Palloseura of Finland and Romania's Craiova Universitatea. Kuopio reached the stage after losing in the Champions League second qualifying round to Azerbaijan's Sabah Baku. The Romanian had, meanwhile, narrowly lost at the same stage to Bulgaria's Levski Sofia. Thursday's encounter finished 1-1.

Hannes Kaasik headed to Ireland to be a referee observer at Danish club Midtjylland's 2-0 win over Ireland Men's Premier Division Bohemian F.C. at the Tallaght Stadium in Dublin. The match was a UEFA Conference League third-round qualifier, first leg. Midtjylland had previously dropped down from the Europa League after losing to Turkey's Besiktas.

Meanwhile Uno Tutk was referee observer for Hapoel Tel Aviv's 2-0 home win over Polish side GKS Katowice, in the same competition.

Also in the Conference League, Siim Juks was the delegate for Hajduk Split's (Croatia) first leg 5-2 win away to Žalgiris (Lithuania). The latter had previously come back from a 3-0 deficit away to win 7-2 at home against Dinamo Tbilisi to make it to the third round. Hajduk had moved in the opposite direction, dropping down from the Europa League after losing in extra time to Cyprus's Pafos in the second qualifying round.

Two Estonian teams took part in Conference League matches as well, though both were defeated: Paide Linnameeskond lost 4-1 at home to big-name visitors Rapid Vienna in Tallinn, while Tallinna F.C. Flora were beaten 2-0 away to Andorran league champions.
