Cross Country Team in Slovenia for European Championships

The national running team will compete in Slovenia this Sunday, at the European Cross Country Championships.
Participating in the men's 10-kilometer race will be Tiidrek Nurme, who recently came in fourth at the World University Games' 5,000-meter race in Shenzhen this summer. Nurme is the national record holder for the 1,500-meter distance. Also competing in the 10-kilometer distance will be Sergei Tsherepannikov, the defending Estonian champion for the 12-kilometer distance.
On the women's side, Jekaterina Patjuk, the nation's fastest in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, will take part in the eight-kilometer distance.
In the youth competition, Laura Suur and Andi Noot will represent Estonia in the six-kilometer distance.
