US Law Enforcement Equipped with Estonian Drug Testing Technology
A drug test Invented by Estonians is gaining popularity, and has been used for the last three years in US courts to give rulings for 4,000 suspects.
The NTX2000 drug testing kit is produced by high-tech company NarTest. The device has a special lamp that excites molecules of a given sample under investigation. As the molecules return to their normal, unexcited condition, a detector measures the intensity of fluorescence levels at various wave lengths, wrote Postimees.
Software is used to identify a particular chemical’s reaction to the ultraviolet light.
The results are ready in five to 20 minutes, while sending a sample to a lab for experts to study often takes weeks to months.
