Mikser: Estonia condemns Israeli settlement activity

Estonia condemned Israeli settlement activity on occupied Palestine territory as well as the violence and the inciting of violence on the part of Palestinian groups, Foreign Minister Sven Mikser (SDE) said on Friday.
“On the one hand, the settlement activity being carried out in areas that in Estonia’s view are occupied is illegal, and on the other hand also not constructive when keeping the peace process in mind,” Mikser said.
The foreign minister met with Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, deputy minister of foreign affairs Tzipi Hotovely, speaker of the Knesset Yuli-Yoel Edelstein, and MPs Tzipi Livni and Yaakov Perry in Jerusalem on Friday.
Mikser also met with Palestinian prime minister of Rami Hamdallah, foreign minister Riad Malki, and IT minister Allam Mousa on Thursday.
“In meetings with the Israeli prime minister and deputy foreign minister as well as the Palestinian prime minister and foreign minister I clearly voiced Estonia’s position, which condemns the Israeli settlement activity as well as violence, inciting violence, and terrorist activities that different Palestinian groups are engaged in,” Mikser said.
