A day after her election, Estonian President-elect Ülle Madise met with outgoing President Alar Karis at Kadriorg on Thursday morning.
The Riigikogu elected Madise, Estonia's current chancellor of justice, president Wednesday with 71 votes.
Madise will be sworn in as the country's next head of state on October 12.
