Real annual return of Estonian pension funds -2.2% over past decade

From 2005-2015, the real annual return of Estonian pension funds was -2.2 percent, which is the lowest indicator among OECD countries, results of a fresh survey show.
The nominal 10-year geometric average annual return totaled 1 percent.
In 2014 the average real annual return of Estonian pensions funds was 4.7 percent, which placed Estonia seventh from the back among the 34 member states of the OECD; that year the OECD's average real annual return totaled 6.8 percent.
In comparison, the real annual return of Latvian pension funds during the same 10-year period was -0.7 percent and nominal return 3 percent. Lithuania's indicators were not included in the report.
